KITCHEN “Run-Outs” .....

# If you run short of an egg when backing a cake that uses a raising agent (like self-raising flour or baking powder), “replace” the missing egg with one tablespoon of vinegar.

# If you need some sour milk/cream, just add some white vinegar to fresh milk/cream at let it stand at room temperature for about 30min. Add a tablespoon of vinegar to each cup of milk/cream.

# Need some tomato sauce? Use a packet of tomato soup and add only half of the water needed to prepare it.

# Breadcrumbs? Replace with crushed cornflakes.
